How much solar do I need?
It depends on your monthly electricity use, roof space and what you want from it. As a starting point, the calculator estimates a system size from your monthly bill. Final sizing always needs the roof measured and the loads checked on site — by whoever eventually installs.
Do I need a battery?
Not always. If your goal is mainly to reduce your bill and your grid supply is reliable, grid-tied solar may be enough. If load-shedding affects you, or you want to use solar energy at night, a battery makes the system far more useful — and more expensive.
Does SolarBeyond sell or install systems?
Not yet. Right now SolarBeyond is an information and consulting practice: we explain, share what we have learned, and help you think your own project through. Whether that changes later, we will say so plainly on this site.
Is the advice independent?
Yes. We do not stock equipment, take orders or earn from what you buy, so there is nothing steering the answer. Where a figure on this site is an estimate, it is labelled as one.
What does a consultation cost?
